How cancellations and refunds work for DriftKin Pro. How you get a refund depends on where you bought: from Apple, from Google, or directly from us.
Right now: nothing is charged
DriftKin doesn’t take payments yet. The free plan is free. Pro is available only through free trials, promo codes or grants from us. A free trial ends on its own and never turns into a paid plan.
If you’ve been charged by anyone claiming to be DriftKin, it wasn’t us. Contact your bank or card issuer, and tell us at support@driftkin.app so we can warn other people.
The rest of this policy applies once paid plans launch.
Purchases through the App Store
Apple handles billing for purchases made in the iOS app, and only Apple can refund them. We can’t see your payment details or issue refunds for App Store purchases. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and follow Apple’s refund instructions. Apple’s own policies apply.
Purchases through Google Play
Google handles billing for purchases made in the Android app. You can ask Google for a refund in your Google Play order history, following Google Play’s refund policy. If Google’s refund window has passed, email support@driftkin.app with your Google Play order number (it starts with “GPA.”). We’ll review the request under the rules in section 4.
Purchases made directly from us
If you buy Pro directly from us, for example on driftkin.app:
First purchase
If you’re not happy, ask within 7 days of your first payment for a plan, and we’ll refund that payment in full. You don’t need to give a reason. This applies to monthly, yearly and lifetime plans.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Renewal payments aren’t refundable, except where required by law or under the rules below, so cancel before the renewal date if you don’t want to be charged again.
Always refunded
- You were charged twice for the same thing, or charged after you cancelled.
- You were charged the wrong amount.
- Pro was unavailable for a long time because of a problem on our side, and we couldn’t fix it.
- We end your paid plan when you haven’t broken the Terms. You’ll get back the unused part.
Not refunded
- Partial billing periods after you cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- Accounts ended because you seriously broke the Terms, unless the law requires otherwise.
How to cancel
- App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DriftKin → Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DriftKin → Cancel.
- Direct purchases: use the cancellation option in your account, or email support@driftkin.app. Cancelling is as easy as signing up, and we won’t make you talk to anyone to do it.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@driftkin.app from the email address on your DriftKin account, with the subject “Refund request”. Include the date of the charge, the amount, and the order or receipt number if you have one.
We’ll reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 10 business days, though your bank may take longer to show them. When a refund is issued, the Pro access it paid for ends.
Please contact us before filing a chargeback. We can usually sort things out faster. We may suspend Pro on an account while a chargeback is open.
Lifetime plans
“Lifetime” means for as long as DriftKin offers the Pro service. It does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser. If we ever stop offering Pro, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice.
Your legal rights
This policy adds to your rights under consumer protection law. It doesn’t replace them. If the law where you live gives you more, you get more. We may update this policy as described in the Terms, but a change never applies to a purchase made before the change.
